In her own words, Rebecca Jones does not want the support of Republicans. When she ran for Mayor, she declined to apply for an endorsement and told voters she “didn’t want the Republican endorsement” for Supervisor. She told Republican candidates to avoid calling themselves Republicans. When the Chairman of the Republican Party called out Todd Gloria for his disastrous leadership in San Diego, Jones angrily complained.
